The race appeared here in 14 editions between 1979 and 2023, and in 2023 the stage from Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc to Courchevel was won on the summit by Giulio Ciccone. Behind the glass the pastures roll by, the leather feels cool and the cabin muffles every sound.
Open the roof for the descent into the valley. In Saint-Gervais the commune climbs from 571 metres in the valley to 4,810 metres on the summit of Mont Blanc. The Mont Blanc Tramway leaves from the forecourt of Le Fayet station and rises to the Nid d'Aigle station at 2,372 metres, beside the Bionnassay glacier. In Le Fayet the Les Thermes spa welcomes visitors all year. Cool alpine air pours into the open car, and the glacier glints between the pines.
