Look at the flank of the 488 GTB and you'll find a blade of black carbon splitting the door scallop in two — one channel feeds the intercoolers, the other bleeds air straight to the rear haunch, a trick lifted from Ferrari's prototype program and shrunk to fit a road car. Nobody notices it at a red light. Everybody notices what it feeds.

Twin turbochargers spool behind that scallop, and the 3.9-liter V8 answers with 661 horsepower delivered like a struck match. Throttle down, the car snaps rather than accelerates. Zero to 100 km/h arrives in three seconds flat, turbos hissing through a wastegate tuned to sound like nothing else in the Maranello lineup. Push past 8,000 rpm and the exhaust note shifts from howl to something closer to detonation, a sound engineers reportedly re-tuned dozens of times to keep it Ferrari and not just fast.

330 km/h waits at the top of seventh gear, reached with the kind of inevitability only a dual-clutch automatic swapping cogs in milliseconds can deliver. Two seats, one mission. The 488 GTB doesn't build to a climax so much as detonate one, corner after corner, redline after redline.
