The Targa 4 carries the same unmistakable silhouette as its GTS sibling already in the fleet, that stainless Targa bar and wraparound rear glass, but built on the standard 911's platform rather than the sharpened GTS tune. It's the connoisseur's middle path between coupe and cabriolet, done at a slightly gentler pace.
Underneath, a 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six sends around 385 hp through all four wheels via an eight-speed PDK gearbox, 100 km/h arriving in roughly 4.4 seconds. Porsche Traction Management keeps things composed regardless of season, part of what makes the Targa 4 as much a year-round proposition as a summer one. The roof mechanism itself, sixteen moving parts folding the fabric top beneath the rear glass in under nineteen seconds, remains one of the most theatrical pieces of engineering Porsche still puts into production.
